Dear Parents,

These last few weeks of our Autumn term have flown by in a sea of Santa hats, glitter and festive cheer!  As well as continuing to work hard academically, the children have been working hard on the creative side of the curriculum, learning poems, perfecting song lyrics and rehearsing dance routines.
It has been wonderful to open the doors of our primary school and to be able to celebrate the Christmas season and end of term with parents once again.  

Foundation Stage, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two all performed for parents during the final week of term. We were also treated to a beautiful evening from our Primary Choir. Each performance was special and warmed our hearts. We were all reminded of the true meaning of Christmas. Our children, as always, were superstars and I have no doubt many of them will be on the Palacio De Congresso stage in future secondary performances!
A big thank you to parents for joining us for these celebrations and to the teachers for all their creative talents and patience! 

We had a fun afternoon of Christmaths in which teams of children in KS2 challenged a team of teachers to see who had superior maths skills.  Mr James, as always, was an excellent quiz master, and there were lots of sweets and treats for the children and forfeits for the teachers. 
The children were victorious once again, leaving the teachers with lots to work on for next year!

The Christmas Fair triumphed once again, on a beautiful day when music, food and fun games were enjoyed by a great crowd of students, parents and guests. The marquee, Father Christmas and the snow machine gave it a lovely yuletide feeling and a mixture of choirs, solo performances and bands ensured that we all felt ready for the festive period. Thank you once again for supporting this event with generous donations of raffle prizes, bottles, sweets and your participation. All profit is shared amongst our 4 school charities TripleA, Adana, Rifcom and Cudeca.

We have taken part in a variety of sporting events this term including basketball and swimming. We have put in some great performances, coming away with many certificates and medals. We are immensely proud of these achievements and of the sportsmanship demonstrated by the children in our school; other schools and referees never fail to comment on the good behaviour and good manners of our children. 

There are far too many achievements to mention in this end-of-term letter, however, we do try to share our success and newsworthy stories with you throughout the term, both on our Facebook page and through blogs on our website.

We are proud of all of our children; of their behaviour towards one another, their efforts, and their academic achievement. This term, there were many nominations for children to receive the Headteacher’s Award and the decision, as always, was very difficult.
However, the three children below deserve a special mention for their kindness, great effort and positivity.

Finally, I wish to thank you for your support, positivity and for entrusting us with your children; they really are the most precious of gifts.

Please note: The school will be closed from Monday 19th December until we begin Spring Term on Monday 9th January. The office will be open on Tuesday 3rd, Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th January from 8:30am-3pm 

Estimados Padres:

Estas últimas semanas del primer trimestre se han pasado volando ¡en un mar de gorros de Papá Noel, purpurina y alegría festiva! Al igual que continuar trabajando duro académicamente, los niños han estado trabajando mucho en la parte creativa del curriculum; aprendiendo poemas, perfeccionando las letras de las canciones y practicando las rutinas de baile. 
Ha sido maravilloso abrir las puertas de nuestro colegio de Primaria y poder celebrar la época navideña y el final del trimestre con los padres una vez más. 

Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 y Key Stage 2 actuaron para los padres durante la última semana del trimestre. También tuvimos el placer de disfrutar de una tarde preciosa con nuestro Coro de Primaria. Cada actuación ha sido especial y nos llegó al corazón. Nos recordaron el auténtico significado de la Navidad. Nuestros niños, como siempre, han sido unas superestrellas y ¡no tengo duda de que muchos de ellos estarán en el escenario del Palacio de Congresos en las futuras actuaciones de Secundaria!

Muchas gracias a todos los padres por acompañarnos en estas celebraciones y a los profesores por su talento creativo y ¡paciencia!

Pasamos una tarde muy divertida de Christmaths en la que equipos de niños de KS2 retaron a un equipo de profesores para ver quién tenía más destreza matemática. Mr James, como siempre, fue un magnífico presentador del concurso y hubo muchos dulces para los niños y penalizaciones para los profesores. Los niños salieron victoriosos una vez más, dejando a los profesores ¡con mucho trabajo por hacer para el próximo año!
La Feria de Navidad triunfó una vez más, en un día precioso en el que la música, comida y los juegos divertidos fueron disfrutados por una gran multitud de estudiantes, padres e invitados. La carpa, Papá Noel y la máquina de nieve le dieron ambiente navideño y la mezcla de coros, actuaciones en solitario y de bandas aseguraron que todos nos sintiéramos preparados para el periodo festivo. Gracias una vez más por apoyar este evento con las generosas donaciones para los premios de la rifa, botellas, dulces y su participación. Todos los beneficios se han compartido entre nuestras 4 organizaciones benéficas del colegio PAD, Triple A, Cudeca y

Hemos participado en una variedad de eventos deportivos este trimestre incluyendo baloncesto y natación. Los niños lo hicieron genial, trayendo a casa muchos diplomas y medallas. Estamos muy orgullosos de estos logros y de la deportividad demostrada por los niños de nuestro colegio. Otros colegios y los árbitros siempre comentan el buen comportamiento y buenos modales de nuestros niños.

Hay muchísimos logros para mencionar en esta carta del final del trimestre, sin embargo, intentamos compartir nuestro éxito y las historias de interés con ustedes durante el trimestre, en nuestra página de Facebook, a través de blogs y nuestra página web. 

Estamos orgullosos de todos nuestros niños, por su comportamiento los unos con los otros, sus esfuerzos y sus logros académicos. Este trimestre, ha habido muchas nominaciones para que los niños recibieran el premio de la Directora y la decisión, como siempre, ha sido muy difícil de tomar. Sin embargo, los tres niños mencionados a continuación merecen una mención especial por su bondad, esfuerzo enorme y positividad.

Finalmente, les quiero dar las gracias por su apoyo, por su positividad y por confiarnos a sus hijos; son realmente el mejor regalo.
