At Swans Primary School we believe that physical education is an integral part of the curriculum which should be enjoyed by all children. Children from Early Years to Year Six are taught by specialist PE teachers. We aim to provide a broad and balanced range of activities to aid children’s increasing self-confidence, including:
  • Net/wall games
  • Dance
  • Swimming and water safety (starting at Year 4)
  • Outdoor and adventure activities
  • Striking and fielding games
We balance individual, paired and group activities to cater for the different strengths, needs and preferences of each child. The children develop a sense of personal achievement, fair play, teamwork and an understanding of the ways in which sport can transcend social and cultural boundaries.

From Year 4, Primary school children are invited to the Secondary school to use the 25m long indoor swimming pool.
