Swans School Film Festival

The first Swans School event of 2020 was a triumph, with our esteemed film-makers gathering on the red carpet to celebrate an array of cinematic brilliance. Over the previous 2 months short films were written, scripted, filmed and edited by students from Years 3 in the Primary School, through to Year 13 in the Sixth Form.

A panel of judges gathered to decide upon the runners-up and nominees who were invited to attend this prestigious event on January 28th. The Film Festival, hosted in the Swans theatre, allowed friends, family and teachers to applaud the wide variety of talent, behind and in front of the camera. We were inspired by the hard work and creativity of those who had put so much effort into storylines that were equally funny, thrilling, action-packed and beautiful.

The most difficult task of the evening was to select only 3 winners from the 16 nominated films.

- Best Primary Film, HAPPY by Gabriella in Year 6

- Best Secondary Film, ARPEGGIO by Emi, Abby, Oliver and Christalle in Year 12

- Best Film, DOLLY by Jessica in Year 12
