As an international school, languages are central to life here at Swans with many children speaking two or more languages fluently. Children have lessons in English and Spanish all the way through the school, while French is taught up to the end of Key Stage 3, with an option to continue studying it at both GCSE and IB level.
Our after-school activities programme also gives children the opportunity to learn Mandarin Chinese and German.
For native speakers, whether Spanish nationals or not, Swans School offers the official state education programme. The ESO (or Compulsory Secondary Education) includes the 1º to 4º courses, equivalent to Years 8 to 11.
This allows students to obtain the ESO certificate, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport at the end of their secondary education, combined with the (I)GCSEs that they complete at the end of Year 11.
