Curriculum

Science Laboratories at Swans School

A clear academic framework for success

Swans International School follows the British primary school and secondary school curriculum with students taking their GCSEs in Years 10 and 11.

Sixth Form students then complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma – a rigorous qualification that is highly regarded by universities worldwide.

Whilst our curriculum is challenging, we also provide a supportive environment that enables students to reach their full potential. We place a core focus on English fluency with a developed vocabulary, and are often referred to as “the reading school”. We also drive high levels of achievement in maths, science and computer programming.

Importance is placed on both academic and social skills to encourage children to become active learners and responsible members of the community. Children will have opportunities to participate in individual, group and whole-class activities, with an emphasis on the learning being interesting, meaningful and relevant to the child. This is enhanced through both practical experiences and educational visits.

In addition, Spanish nationals and those with native-level Spanish also follow the Spanish curriculum (EP and ESO) and complete their time at Swans School with a dual qualification.

Please select the stage of your child's educational journey for more specific curriculum information.

An Enriching Educational Environment

We encourage our students to take part in a range of after school activities so that they may be able to express themselves and burn off frustrations, team-build and gain confidence and self-esteem.
