YEAR 6
SWANS PRIMARY SCHOOL MARBELLA
As year 6 are based at the Secondary School, they have the advantage of using the excellent facilities there and are taught by specialist P.E, I.C.T and Science teachers. This is an ideal opportunity for them to take a step towards the transition between Primary and Secondary School. We have continuous contact throughout the school year with the rest of the Primary School through sporting, musical and seasonal events.
As well as teaching Numeracy and Literacy, teaching and learning is focused around our International Primary Curriculum topics which include ‘Mission to Mars’, ‘The history of Spain and England’ and ‘Inventions’. The I.P.C enables our students to not only work independently but to also work together with their peers.
The children benefit from and enjoy several educational trips, which tie in with the curriculum and also give them the chance to experience outdoor adventure. These include a visit to Ronda and a three day residential trip to El Chorro.
