SWANS PRIMARY SCHOOL MARBELLA

In Reception we have full-time bilingual assistants to support teaching and learning.

We provide children with activities that build on and extend their interests and develop their intellectual, physical, social and emotional abilities.

Literacy and numeracy are taught through carefully structured play activities and practical lessons.

Letters and sounds are an emphasis in the first term and children will begin reading and writing during Reception.
 
We use a multisensory approach in our numeracy activities.

Practical activities are essential to our understanding of mathematical concepts. 

In Knowledge and Understanding of the World, we look closely at similarities differences, patterns and change.
