SWANS PRIMARY SCHOOL MARBELLA

Every child at Swans has a minimum of two timetabled physical activity sessions a week, either on our multi-purpose pitch, in the outdoor pool or in the hall (movement and dance).

In these sessions we aim to develop basic skills of movement and co-ordination through a curriculum, which varies according to the age of the child. Additionally, a wide range of physical activities are offered in our extra activity programme.

Over the last seven years Swans has taken an active part (and been very successful) in the inter schools competitions run by Marbella sports department.

In the autumn we enter the cross-country running competition. In spring there is an orienteering event in Nagüeles Park and an exciting athletics meeting early in the summer term.

Other sports, particularly football and cricket, are played with other international schools in matches and one-day competitions.

Every child is encouraged to be involved! Participation and enjoyment is the emphasis!

In school we have an inter-house Potted Sports competition in April in which all Key Stage 1 and 2 children participate.
