Our school has been part of the World Schools community since June 2008. Since then we have educated six generations of students with excellent results, far above the national and international average score.
We aim to create an adult and responsible environment in which students are encouraged to develop a sense of independence and take responsibility in their education. The two years of high school are critical in shaping their future careers but will also be remembered as an enjoyable experience.
Swans offers pre-university students a chance to continue developing their academic and organisational skills, and personal qualities that are required later in life. It provides opportunities for extracurricular and community interests, and students are given every encouragement to be leaders in the school. Our highly developed CAS programme assists students to constantly challenge themselves in order to become conscientious citizens of both the local and global community.
Above all our program aims at helping every student realise his/her potential (whatever it is). We want our students to be successful and happy, whether this is success in entering University or in their chosen career. We also strive for our Sixth Formers to be considerate and responsible members of a happy and thriving community.
Swans International School shares the IB philosophy and we adhere to the IB mission statement:
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organisation works with schools, governments and international organisations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
